Groundable Bulk Bags

Many powdered products generate static charges during the filling and discharging of bulk bags. This static charge can pose an ignition risk in certain circumstances. In order to reduce the build up of static charges to a safe level a special fabric must be used that will conduct this charge to ground. This conductive fabric is woven polyproplylene with metallic conductive filaments woven into a grid pattern in the fabric. This grid is designed to provide a low resisitance path to ground, preventing the accumulation of dangerous electrical charges. Each conductive bulk bag has grounding tabs sewn into the bag that must be attached to a grounding wire each and every time the bag is filled and discharged.
